Creek Road Farms participated in shows as a way to promote our breed and to compare our breeding program with other breeders. Shows provided for good “family time” as our children and their spouses always join us and do the vast majority of the work. We particularly enjoyed the chance that shows gave us to renew friendships and meet new people interested in sheep. Because of our show experience, we count friends throughout the country.
We have not taken our sheep to shows (besides county fair) for several years. As our flock grows and our grandchildren become more interested in them, however, we think that will be changing and we plan to take animals to more shows.
